Local 80 members and executive would like to pass on condolences for the sudden passing of City Councillor Maurice "mo" Neault on Wednesday July 13.  Councillor Neault represented Ward 3 on the city's West side and has always been a friend and supporter of firefighters and the Fire Department.  In a statement issued on the 13th, His Worship Mayor Don Atchison said,  “on behalf of myself, the other Councillors, City Administration, and all residents of Saskatoon, I extend heartfelt condolences to Councillor Neault’s family. He served this city as a man who strongly believed in the community and the people who live here, and he not only talked the talk, he walked the walk. He wanted to make others’ lives better, and his from-the-heart-straight-talk will be greatly missed.”

The funeral for Councillor Neault is on Saturday, July 16th at 11:00 AM at the Prairieland Exhibition. There will be a couple of “Books of Condolence” set out at both City Hall and the Shaw Centre for citizens to sign. Flags at all Civic Facilities will be flown at Half-Mast until after the funeral.

All members, active and retired, are welcome and encouraged to attend the funeral.
