The Annual Muscular Dystrophy Firefighters Boot drive was a success again this year!  The location was on Preston street, in front of the Market Mall.  The weather held up most of the day, the rain and wind rolled in at the end of the day, but we still managed to raise just over $6550.00 for MDC.  The Firefighters ask passing motorists to donate to MDC using a "Toll booth" style fundraising system.  The public came through this year and donated generously by throwing their money in a firefighters boot!  Thank you to everyone that came out and volunteered, we hope to make next years an even greater success!  Even Sparky the Fire Dog stopped by to say hi, and wave at passing motorists!  IAFF Firefighters across the United States and Canada have been proudly involved with Muscular Dystrophy since 1954 and in that time have raised over 274 Million for the cause.
