The Salvation Army and their Kettles are mostly known for their help of the less fortunate around Christmas, but sometimes help is needed at other times of the year.  From February 1st to 6th, the Salvation Army had their kettles positioned at locations all over the city in order to raise money for the people of Haiti, who are still trying to recover from the devastating January 12th earthquake.  Local 80 members were proud to volunteer their time for this worthy cause, taking position at a kettle for two full days.  The six day campaign raised over $30,000 for the Haiti relief effort.
